Dr. Oneeka Williams’ professional journey includes an undergraduate degree in Biophysics at Johns Hopkins University, graduate degrees in public health and medicine at Harvard Medical School, and surgical training at leading academic medical centers including Massachusetts General Hospital and The Lahey Clinic.
Through her volunteer work in the community and as a teacher and mentor, Dr. Williams is committed to inspiring all children, and especially girls, towards a greater interest in science, a positive attitude, and the pursuit of excellence in all their endeavors. To further her advocacy of literacy and science education, Dr. Williams has authored a series of children’s books.
To date, she has three books, which complete her SPACE SCIENCE SERIES:
(1) Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Mission to Pluto;
(2) Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Meteorite Mission;
(3) Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Saturn Surprise.
The series centers around Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo – born with supernatural powers from electrical energy. 9-year old girl Super Surgeon Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo jets around the Universe from her home base on the Island of Positivity, fixing problems with her gifted hands.
Targeted to ages 6-11 and Common Core-aligned, the books include a glossary, learning words, resource guide and more.

Dr. Williams is a practicing surgeon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston and is an assistant clinical professor of urology at Tufts University School of Medicine.
She lives just outside Boston with her husband, Dr. Charles Leon Anderson, Jr., a neonatologist, hospital management specialist and corporate executive, and their son, Mark.
