Robert Emery-Thomas is responsible for all travel arrangements for URU, including packing, driving, meals for the team, and eventsetup. He is also responsible for managing major purchases and travel finances.He maintains the URU vehicles and manages storage and supplies including high-tech video and film equipment.

Outside of his work with URU, Robert is an independent living coach for a young man with autism, for whom he helps plan and execute activities including travel and participation in the Special Olympics (where his client earned gold medals in swimming and bowling).

Robert holds a degree in Entrepreneurial Studies from Gateway Community College in New Haven, CT. He is a certified Emergency Medical Technician.
